Bancorp, Inc., is a bank holding company, and the parent company of
the Lorain National Bank. The Lorain National Bank provides commercial
and retail banking services to customers throughout northeastern Ohio.
The company operates through a network of over 20 branch offices and
ATMs in Lorain, Erie, Cuyahoga, Summit, Huron, Medina and Wayne
counties. The bank offers a wide range of deposit products, including
checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, and
certificates of deposit. It also offers commercial, industrial,
residential and consumer loans, and investment and trust services to
its customers.
LNB Bancorp was founded in 1905, and is
headquartered in Lorain, Ohio. The company went public in 1983, and is
traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the ticker symbol &";LNBB&";. As
of September 30, 2021, LNB Bancorp had total assets of $1.6 billion,
total deposits of $1.4 billion, and total loans of $896 million.
In August 2014, LNB Bancorp announced that it had agreed to be
acquired by Northwest Bancshares, Inc. in a cash and stock deal valued
at approximately $184 million. The acquisition was completed in
January 2015, and LNB Bancorp became a subsidiary of Northwest
Bancs
