The CO2 segment is involved in the production, transportation, and marketing of CO2, which is used for enhanced oil recovery in mature oil fields. This segment also manages interests in oil fields and gasoline processing plants and operates a crude oil pipeline system in West Texas. Additionally, Kinder Morgan owns and operates renewable natural gas (RNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities, highlighting its commitment to diversifying its energy portfolio.

With an extensive network of approximately 83,000 miles of pipelines and 140 terminals, Kinder Morgan stands as a critical infrastructure provider in the energy sector. Originally founded in 1936 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, the company was formerly known as Kinder Morgan Holdco LLC before rebranding to Kinder Morgan, Inc. in February 2011. The company continues to focus on expanding its infrastructure and maintaining reliable energy transportation and storage solutions across North America.
