The
iShares Russell 3000 ETF (IWV) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks
to track the performance of the Russell 3000 Index, a
market-capitalization-weighted index of the 3,000 largest publicly
traded companies in the United States. The fund invests in a wide
range of companies across multiple sectors and industries, offering
investors broad exposure to the U.S. stock market.
The Russell
3000 Index includes companies of all sizes, from small-cap to
large-cap, and is widely regarded as a benchmark for the overall
performance of the U.S. stock market. As of March 23, 2023, the top
three sectors represented in the index were technology (22.6%), health
care (15.1%), and financials (14.1%).
The IWV ETF provides
investors with a low-cost way to gain exposure to the entire U.S.
equity market, as it has a low expense ratio of 0.20%. The fund also
offers a high level of liquidity, with an average daily trading volume
of over 1 million shares.
Investors should keep in mind that
