International BuyBack Achievers Portfolio (IPKW) is an exchange-traded
fund (ETF) that seeks to track the investment results of the NASDAQ
International BuyBack Achievers Index. The index is composed of
international companies that have repurchased at least 5% or more of
their outstanding shares in the trailing twelve months.
The ETF
aims to provide investors with exposure to companies that have
demonstrated financial discipline by investing in their own businesses
through share buybacks. Share buybacks are a way for companies to
return capital to their shareholders by reducing the number of
outstanding shares, thereby increasing the value of each remaining
share.
The NASDAQ International BuyBack Achievers Index
consists of companies that are listed on non-U.S. exchanges and have a
minimum market capitalization of $1 billion. The index is designed to
track the performance of international companies that have a history
of strong fundamentals, positive earnings growth, and a commitment to
returning value to shareholders through share buybacks.
As of
the knowledge cutoff of September 2021, the top holdings of IPKW
included companies such as Japan Post Holdings Co Ltd, Deutsche Post
AG, BASF SE, Koninklijke Philips NV, and Eni SpA. The fund has an
expense ratio of 0.55%, which is relatively low for an international
