EJUL Profile
The
Innovator MSCI Emerging Markets Power Buffer ETF (EJUL) is an
exchange-traded fund that seeks to provide investors with exposure to
the MSCI Emerging Markets Index while providing a buffer against the
first 15% of losses over a one-year period. The ETF uses an options
strategy to provide this downside protection, while still offering the
potential for upside gains.
EJUL was launched in June 2020 by
Innovator ETFs, and has an expense ratio of 0.79%. The fund has a
total net asset value of around $14 million, and is listed on the NYSE
Arca exchange.
As of March 23, 2023, the top holdings of EJUL
included Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Tencent Holdings
Ltd., Alibaba Group Holding Ltd., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., and
Meituan Dianping, with a total of 129 holdings. The ETF had a
significant allocation to the Information Technology and Financials
sectors, followed by Consumer Discretionary and Communication Services
sectors.
Investors interested in EJUL should note that the
buffer against losses is reset at the beginning of each one-year
period, and there is no guarantee that the ETF will achieve its
objectives. Additionally, the options strategy employed by the fund
may limit its potential for gains in rising markets, and the fund may
have higher turnover and trading costs due to its use
