With approximately 1.6 million customers, including significant customer bases in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, southwestern Ohio, and northern Kentucky, this segment plays a vital role in providing reliable natural gas services to its diverse clientele.
Duke Energy's Commercial Renewables segment focuses on the acquisition, ownership, development, construction, and operation of wind and solar renewable generation projects. This segment also provides nonregulated renewable energy and energy storage services to utilities, electric cooperatives, municipalities, and corporate customers. With a portfolio comprising 23 wind facilities, 178 solar facilities, and 2 battery storage facilities, along with 71 fuel cell locations spanning 22 states, Duke Energy's Commercial Renewables segment continues to expand its renewable energy footprint, contributing to the transition towards cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.
