CUBS Profile
The
Asian Growth Cubs ETF (CUBS) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to
track the performance of the Indxx Asia Frontier Select Index. This
index is composed of small and mid-cap companies in Asia's frontier
markets, such as Bangladesh, Cambodia, Iraq, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar,
Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.
CUBS was
launched by Emerging Global Advisors in 2014, and Invesco acquired the
firm and its suite of ETFs in 2015. The fund has an expense ratio of
0.80% and holds over 50 stocks across various sectors, including
financials, consumer discretionary, industrials, and materials.
Investing in frontier markets can come with higher risks due to
less-developed economies and less-established financial markets. CUBS
may appeal to investors seeking long-term growth opportunities and
diversification outside of traditional emerging and developed markets.
However, investors should conduct thorough research and understand the
risks associated with investing in these markets before considering an
investment in CUBS or any other frontier
