The
Blackrock Future U.S. Themes ETF (BTHM) is an exchange-traded fund
that seeks to provide exposure to companies that Blackrock believes
are positioned to benefit from long-term trends in the United States.
The fund's investment objective is to seek investment results that
correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees
and expenses, of the Blackrock Future U.S. Themes Index.
The
Blackrock Future U.S. Themes Index uses a proprietary methodology to
select companies that it believes are poised to benefit from long-term
trends in the United States. These trends include the digitization of
the economy, aging demographics, urbanization, and other structural
changes that may shape the future of the United States.
The
fund invests in companies across various market capitalizations, and
across a diverse range of sectors, including technology, healthcare,
consumer discretionary, and others. The fund may invest in domestic
and foreign securities, including American Depositary Receipts (ADRs)
and Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs).
As of September 30,
2021, the fund held 132 securities, with the top ten holdings
accounting for approximately 29% of the fund's total net assets. The
largest holdings included
Apple Inc.,
Amazon.com Inc.,
Alphabet Inc. Class A,
and Microsoft
Corporation.
